Ever looked in your wardrobe and exclaimed, “I’ve got nothing to wear!” but in reality your wardrobe is so full that you have no idea exactly what is hidden inside? Have you ever gone to the mall and purchased a random top because you’ve made an effort to go to the mall and it would be seen as a waste of time not to have purchased anything?

Up until recently, I was that person. After moving house three times in one year, and wanting to reduce my consumption of fast fashion, I became interested in the concept of capsule wardrobes. Capsule wardrobes are having a bit of a moment with people recognising that style has little to do with a full wardrobe of on-trend pieces. View Post

The Iconic Review and Try On Haul

The Iconic plus size clothing haul and review // 17 Sundays Cross Back Dress

I really love a store where I can go in and get things from lots of my favourite brands (and find new ones), because it saves time, shipping and basically makes life super easy for me. One place you can do that is The Iconic, you’re probably already familiar with it because I do link to them regularly and I’ve got an affiliate banner for them in my sidebar a lot of the time, but I’ve never actually bought from them (only directly from the brands they stock). In the interest of blog research (and because I saw they were having a sale) I decided to try them out so I could report back on what their service was like, and check out some of the brands that I’ve never tried before. Apparently they have over 700 brands, which is just … woah. View Post

First Look: Chocolat SS17

New Zealand plus size designer clothing SS17 Chocolat

I always get really excited when Chocolat releases their lookbooks, because this New Zealand label has pieces that wow me season after season. You’ve seen me wearing pieces from them before (take a look here and here if you need a reminder) and loved them, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite pieces from the latest collection – let me know what you’re loving! Plus Size Halloween Costumes

Plus size Halloween costume ideas

My favourite time of the year is almost here! I know it’s only the beginning of September, but I’ve just ordered the dress I want to wear for Halloween so I thought why not, let’s start talking about Halloween costumes. That gives you plenty of time to decide what you want to dress up as, order any aspects you need for your outfit and put together your look, right? Remember – you don’t have to go full on and dress up as a “character” if that’s not your jam. You can add spooky elements to your outfit or just take inspiration from something as well. View Post

K&K Active

Plus size activewear - K&K Active review

One of the things people ask me about the most is plus size activewear, and I was very excited to hear that New Zealand label K&K has brought out their own range of active gear recently. I had some samples sent to me to check out, so I thought I’d let you know what I thought and how it fit. View Post
