Plus Size Coats

Rainy Days: Cute and Comfy Plus Size Coats

Every year I get people asking me where they can find really good quality plus size coats. Depending on where you are, it can be cold, windy, or wet… and if you live where I do it can be all three in one day, especially in winter and spring (and if this year is anything to go by, summer and autumn as well)! I’ve done a bit of hunting and found options for all kinds of weather, so snuggle up with a cuppa and take a look. View Post

Plus size workwear

Plus size workwear 2018

It’s that time of year when many of us are heading back to work, or maybe starting a new job (or looking for one), so it’s time to talk about officewear. As you know, I work from home (sometimes in my pyjamas) and I work in a creative industry rather than a corporate one, so even when I have meetings I don’t need to dress in the same way as someone who is in an office all the time. I do love helping other people find clothes they feel confident in though, and I’m pretty adept at browing the shops for clothing options, so let’s talk plus size workwear. View Post

Meet me on Lavender Hill

I’m obsessed with all thing lavender, from the oils and moisturisers I use to help me sleep, to the plants growing in the garden outside my bedroom, to lavender syrup on pancakes. After seeing a post from my friend Miss Charlotte Cake saying that she was visiting Lavender Hill Farm in Coatesville, I knew I had to pay them a visit before the lavender was harvested. We were just in time, visiting the day before picking! It was positively dreamy – there were rows and rows of lavender just waiting to be harvested, all abuzz with bees and bumblebees and butterflies. There were olive groves and lemon trees and alpacas, with frosty limoncello just waiting to be tasted (just a heads up, if you’re a non-drinker like me, limoncello is strong AF). View Post

18 Plus Size Babes to Inspire Your Style in 2018

Plus size style inspiration for 2018: Alex Michael May, Danielle Vanier and Leah Vernon

Instagram is the first place I go to when I’m looking for style inspiration. I’m a visual person, so being able to see what other people are wearing and how they’ve styled it, discover new brands and trends, and to have so many stylish people within the push of a button is great. It helps me to push my style boundaries and gives me some fabulous ideas on how I can mix up my wardrobe when I think I have nothing to wear – I save posts all the time (use the little bookmark button at the bottom right of a post and you can even file things into folders so you can find them easily). New Year, Same Old Me

You might have noticed that I’ve been a bit quieter over the last year. Having my operation in April really knocked me for six – recovery was harder than I had expected it to be, I didn’t feel like writing or being in front of the camera, and more often than not my outfits consisted of gym gear or pyjamas (the two most comfortable clothing options, I think!). And while my blog ticked along quietly, I haven’t really been here. At least, not in the way I’d like to be. View Post
