This is my home. The place I come to rest and recharge, to shake off the cobwebs, to centre myself. It is a place where I am under no pressure, I don’t have expectations to live up to other than contributing to my whanau and the daily business of our home.
My time is spent exploring the orchard, walking around various shops, visiting old haunts, and enjoying the autumn breeze that comes from the ocean to blow away all of my worries, my insecurities, my sadnesses.
Being here reminds me to be thankful for the things I have and the people that are in my life. To let go of anger and embrace things that lift me up. Most importantly, it reminds me that I need to take time out to breathe, to recharge, to just be…
