Today the weather is absolutely magnificent. The sky is blue and endless, the crickets are chirping, and the sun is shining. It’s perfect picnic weather!
Sadly there is no picnic on the cards for me – after I dropped my boyfriend at work, I came home and slept because I have been burning the candle at both ends (naughty Meagan!) and am super exhausted. Fingers crossed we get another day like this soon that I can take full advantage of.
I’d love to have a picnic at the beach, with all my friends and lots of delicious things to eat. I wonder if the weather will be nice enough to do that for my birthday in May? Probably not – it’s usually pretty stormy by then.
Anyway, this is a dress I picked up from 17 Sundays recently. It’s the Suger Over Size Tee Dress, and it’s quickly become one of my favourites. I adore the comfortable fit, the soft fabric, and THE STRIPES! It’s just so perfect!!! It’s even named after a blogger – if you haven’t checked out the blog Suger Coat It, do that now. No wait, finish this post, then go visit Suger’s blog. One thing at a time!
On the back of my Fat Girls Shouldn’t Wear Stripes project, I decided that I don’t own nearly enough striped things, which was pretty much why I bought this dress. By the way, these photos make it look like a navy and white stripe, but it’s not, it’s actually black and grey. The perils of a crappy cellphone camera…
So, I’m pretty keen on that birthday picnic. I think it might be time to start planning… I want to know, what are your picnic essentials? For the record, mine are strawberries, cheese and crisp apple juice!
Meagan wears:

How cool is it that they named a dress after Suger! it’s pretty cute and looks comfy too 🙂
I know right?! It’s TOTALLY Suger too haha
Love that satchel! What a great find!
It’s my fave thrifted find ever – I’ve had it since I was 12 years old and have replaced the strap and buckles because they wore out, but otherwise it’s in original amazing condition!
