It’s the first week of the second year of Aussie Curves, and I am really looking forward to the awesome outfit challenges that lie ahead. I hope you’re enjoying seeing how I style each look! This week the theme is “celebrate”.
I am celebrating myself. My curves, my fat body, my glorious copper hair… I celebrate the unseasonably warm weather by baring my arms and legs and dancing in the sunshine.
There are times when I would have covered up my arms, or not posted the photos where you can see the curve of my belly, but I want to celebrate all of me. Because no matter what size and shape I am, my body is wonderful and deserves to be celebrated.
I’m really looking forward to this summer – I’ve never been as comfortable with my body as I am right now. I’m looking forward to walking through the park in clothes that show my arms and legs, and lazing on the beach with my friends while wearing a bikini.
I really like the detail on this top – the differing fabrics make it really interesting and it combines two of my favourite colours that look even better with my new hair do than when I was a brunette!
And finally, I had to post this picture my friend Amba shared with me – it’s me to a T, right?

What are you celebrating this week?

Thanks Natalie! I’m super happy with how my colour has settled, it’s exactly the colour I wanted 😀
Both TS14+ and City Chic are great shops for curvy girls and you are the testimony as to why…you look comfortable and happy on these pictures. it is evident that you enjoyed this photo shoot – your confidence is really shining through, cant wait for summer too..to peel off all winter layers and just let loose with my skin out. You are such an inspiration and I love your blog. Cheers for now 🙂
Thanks Thulie! I have definitely become more comfortable in front of the camera over the last six months – a total change from the camera shy photographer I once was.

Oh my gaaaaawd!! I love, love your hair! LOVE IT. I loved it so much I had to go back and read your post because I got distracted by the awesome that was the photos and ended up at the bottom without reading a single word! Haha. But same, I’m looking forward to summer too. To being myself. To enjoying the place that I live, the sunshine, the warmth and not apologising for who or what I am. Hear hear lady.
Thanks Suger! Bring on summer! x

It’s been sunny and about 17C for the last few days – so good! Even nicer that the good weather happened when I had a few days off… Apparently there’s a storm on the way – whomp whomp! And thanks 😉
beautiful!!! I’m shivering in Melbourne’s freezing weather looking at this, it’s good to remember there are some places spring has already arrived! 🙂
I feel so lucky that the weather is so nice at the moment! We’ve really only had a month of wintery weather, which has been lovely. Spring storms are on their way though – bring on summer! x
