I’ve photographed Amber in a number of outfits for this project, and at the beginning of the project when I asked her if there was a particular thing she had ever been told that she shouldn’t wear that she’d like to be photographed in, she said to me, “I have an adorable leopard print swimsuit that I bought three years ago and only wore once because I had so many ‘whale’ comments at the beach… but I love it so much and would be excited to wear that again!”
I think Amber looks amazing in this swimsuit, it’s a great pattern and the cut totally suits her!
Amber says: “Nothing makes me happier than being in the sea, it is my favourite place and it makes me so happy. Why should I be denied feeling my happiest because people don’t approve of my size?”
I think that seeing as summer is fast approaching, a gorgeous curvy babe in a swimsuit is a fabulous way of kicking off this project! No matter what size you are, you should be able to go to the beach this summer (and always!) to swim, hang out with your friends and family, laze in the sun (with plenty of shade and sunscreen, of course!) and enjoy some relaxing downtime. Rise above the rude comments, ladies. If you want to bare your bod at the beach then go for it! To hell with anyone who says otherwise!

That swimsuit actually really suits Amber, she looks great! I will never understand what makes people think it’s ok to be so nasty … Sure everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but calling people names and causing shame and embarrassment has nothing to do with sharing an opinion, it is just down right cruel and immature.

Wow! Amber, you are stunning! I agree with Meagan, the cut of the swimsuit really suits you; and I absolutely love the leopard print. Your hair and make-up totally suits the pinup style of the suit.

It’s really playing on my mind right now… my fella bought his boardies for this year and it sent me into a bit of a tailspin of fear and doubt about my own swimwear prospects this year. I’m a size or so bigger than last year, so the togs that were too big then should be sweet as now… but I’ve been struggling to feel ok about wearing them.
I’ma suck it up, put on a bold lip and a statement necklace and try to channel me some Amber! And maybe start looking for the ultimate pin up babe suit 🙂
