Okay ladies, time to pull out your notebooks and take note: what I’m about to tell you is very important.
That’s right, I’m talking about undergarments. Underwear. Lingerie. Get that right and you have the perfect foundation on which to build your amazing outfit – this is the stuff that the team at Rose & Thorne specialise in. Yesterday I went in to catch up with Rose & Thorne’s Managing Director Sue Dunmore, to find out more about what they do and get a fitting.
The team at Rose & Thorne have created five perfect bra shapes:
Smooth Operator – A t-shirt bra that is super comfortable and invisible under clothes.
Easy Peezy – A bra with natural shaping that feels like it is barely there.
Curvylicious – A balconette style bra that lifts and shapes your breasts.
Betty Boobs – A bra that will shape and lift your breasts. The curved vertical cup seam gently moves the breast towards the centre front of the body giving an enhanced yet beautifully-you natural shape.
Perky Power – A plunging neckline that adds a whole cup size! This bra is the secret to amazing cleavage.
Once you know which bra shape fits you best, it’s easy to choose one that will work for you. Never has bra shopping been so easy! Not sure what size you are or never had a proper bra fitting? Then make an appointment to see one of the Rose & Thorne bra gurus at their Cross Street fit studio.
Rose & Thorne bras are available in sizes 10-24, with cup sizes A-G. If you already have the correct sized bra, shopping is easy – you can order online, pop by the fit studio, or visit one of their stockists. They also do panties in size 10-26, so that you can choose a matching set (or not!). My favourite brief style is the midi shorts, because they provide the perfect amount of coverage for my tummy and my big bum.
What are Rose & Thorne’s plans for the future, you may ask? As a woman who wears a 20J (yep, apparently I have been wearing the wrong size all this time!), I wanted to know if they were planning to increase their cup sizes because damn it, I want pretty bras too! Sue assured me that there is good news and there are some plans in the pipeline – hopefully there will be some developments on this front soon!
The reason I get so excited about Rose & Thorne bras? Obviously they’re well made, in beautiful styles with a lot of thought put in to how they will fit each size. But what I love most is the price! At around $30, these bras are a bargain.
What style bra would you choose from Rose & Thorne?
